About NCC'S Best
NCC’s Best was created in 2004 by North Central College's Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) members in Naperville, IL, a suburb of Chicago. These students run all aspects of the business from researching to importing to marketing. The focus of the company is to lead by example in socially conscious business practices and products.
Our mission is to run a profitable yet socially conscious business. We are committed to working only with entrepreneurs that are located in communities with which we are working, even if it costs a little more. Our initial product was coffee we imported from San Lucas Toliman, Guatemala. As NCC’s Best grew, we spun off the coffee side of the business with the creation of Conscious Bean. NCC's Best continues as an umbrella entity to sell socially conscious products from around the world. NCC SIFE members use the business to educate others about the importance of socially responsible production and consumption. In addition to the coffee farmers in Guatemala, NCC’s Best is now working with Guatemalan and African textiles workers, and has recently begun importing sweatshop free t-shirts from Nicaragua and Mexico.
NCC’s Best strives to educate about the importance of operating a business in a socially responsible manner. At NCC's Best we take a stakeholder approach to running our business. Everyone is entitled to satisfaction, including the producers, employees, consumers, and the community.
